Happy September!
Fall is in the air. Okay, not really, but I just ordered a cute fall dress to give the universe good vibes for an early and long fall season :). The lowcountry is really beautiful this time of year and I hope you have a wonderful start to September.
I wanted to make sure you knew about the upcoming Fun in the Sun event on Saturday, September 11 from 9 am - Noon in front of Marriot's Surfwatch on Hilton Head Island. This special inclusive event is organized by Pockets Full of Sunshine and will provide beach activities for people with special needs, their families and friends. This annual event gives all community members, no matter their age or ability, the opportunity to enjoy the beach in a safe and inclusive setting. Activities will include: paddle boarding, boogie boarding, surfing, beach games and relaxation. Lifeguards and volunteers will be included in the event to ensure a safe environment for all. Adult/caregiver supervision is required for all attendees. Shuttles from the parking lot to the beach will be provided. Beach access is wheelchair accessible. Pre-registration is encouraged for either participants or volunteers. I will be there and hope you can stop by too!
My family was invited to the soft opening of the new GoKart facility at Adventure Hilton Head near Broad Creek Marina. You need to add this to your list of must dos! Kids need to be at least 3 years old/36" tall, you need closed toed shoes and ladies/girls need to pull their hair back. The karts go about 17 mph and it's a really fun track for all ages. My son rode three times! For the little ones, they have these really cute double GoKarts where the second rider has a steering wheel in front of them so they feel like they are driving. And a plus... the staff was super friendly and fun.
