What is Public Service Day anyways?
This is a day set aside to celebrate the doctors, firefighters, mailmen (or mail women), law enforcement, librarians, and anyone else who provides services for the community. A day to recognize all the hard work that they put in to provide us with the lifestyle that we live today.
Who should celebrate?
Do you have running water? Do your kids attend school? Does somebody mow your lawn, who keeps the streets clean? EVERYONE should celebrate! And if you work in public service, buy yourself a cake, you deserve it.
Well, when is it?
Public Service day is June 23rd, 2019.
How should we celebrate?
Drop a coffee off to your local librarian, bake some cookies and take them to your local fire station/ police station, hug a service member, and thank the mailman, wave to the people who take your garbage. There are so many ways to give thanks to those who make our lives that much easier.
