Hey y'all, my name is Alexandrea, ( you can call me Alex, full name is just a mouthful I know) and I am your new Macaroni Kid Beaufort-Hilton Head Publisher! I am so over the moon to be writing this for you, let me tell ya why.
A little background, I'm not really from around here. Actually, I just moved to Beaufort last year in January from a little village in Michigan. My hometown was so small that the only two stores were Dollar General and a gas station (there were more bars than actual stores if I'm being honest). But, I met my husband who joined the Marines and that landed us here. We had our first child in January of 2019 and life has been great!
However, moving here and not knowing anyone can really be challenging. I found it hard to find events, stores, locally owned restaurants, and places to play that didn't cost an arm and leg. So I posted on a local mommy group that I follow on Facebook and I asked them if anyone else felt the same and shockingly 83% did. That is where I was introduced to Macaroni Kid and I kid you not actual tears formed when I read what this company is about. It was everything I needed and more, and now here we are!
I want to give families the go-to resource for everything fun in the Lowcountry area. From local events, great eats, local stores, parks, and even just some fun walking/driving trails I want to make sure that you have it all so that you and your family can fill out your entire summer schedule.
