I am so excited to introduce myself to you! My name is Alissa Stripling, your new Beaufort-Hilton Head Macaroni Kid Publisher. I've always been "that mom" who scours the internet and social media to find cool things to do with my young family. Now I get to put all that work to good use and can bring you the 411 on all things kid and family friendly here in the Beaufort, Bluffton, and Hilton Head areas. I couldn't be more excited!
A little about myself: I've lived in Bluffton for four years, and my husband and I have one 9 month old son who is growing up way too quickly! I am a former elementary school teacher and I have a passion for finding fun, low-cost, enriching activities for the kids in our community. I enjoy renovating and updating our home with my husband, and exploring the Lowcountry with my son. If I'm being 100% honest, I am absolutely an "Amazon Prime Mom" and not a "Pinterest Mom". (Seriously. At my house, you can often hear my husband saying, "There is another box on the porch from Amazon" along with the occasional eye-roll, while our cat is sleeping in a box from the last delivery!) I sincerely hope that Macaroni Kid becomes your go-to resource for activities for your family!
