The MCAS Beaufort Airshow is this weekend! If you haven’t attended this event before, I cannot recommend it enough! It is a fabulous family experience that is educational and exciting and it has FREE admission.

The highlights are:

Military Personnel - The men and women that exemplify our country through different branches of the armed services personally reach out to the community and explain their jobs with hands on, live demonstrations and displays. It is incredible what these people can do!

Performances – This is the best-known part of the airshow, so you already know what I’m talking about! You’ll see them for miles around, but the best place to view these aerial performances is at the airshow itself. Check out the schedule to make sure you don’t miss your favorite.

Aircraft Displays and Tours - There are tons of aircraft, from on display that visitors can walk through. These include different types of jets, some of the largest cargo planes I’ve ever seen, helicopters, and the latest in aviation technology. It is a great display of engineering and innovation and there are some great photo opportunities to be had! ;)

Military Vehicles & Equipment Display – Beyond aircraft, there are other military vehicles and equipment on display. Last year, our kids loved climbing through the tanks.

Classic Cars & Antique Vehicles – Not all of the displays are military. There are also other cool cars and vehicles on display.

Coloring Banner – This year, for the first time, kids will create a 20’ x 6’ mural! Come by the kids’ zone to participate!

Kids' Zone – Over 20 bounce houses will be set up for children ages 3-12. There will also be obstacle courses and slides for kids over 42”. Note: The Kids’ Zone is $10/child, open from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Parents must accompany their children at all times. Socks must be worn in the Kids' Zone. Socks will be available for purchase for $1 per pair in case you forget yours. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
