The BYSC Summer Camp has long been known throughout the Beaufort community as the place for water-loving kids to go. This camp is active and playful, with opportunities for campers to explore the outdoors via an abundance of waterfront activities. One of the most popular activities for campers is tubing. Yes, tubing!

Open to rising 1st graders through 13 year olds, campers also discover our unique environment through kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, boat tours, sandbar adventures, and an introduction to sailing. When the campers aren't out boating, they do field games, arts and crafts, fish, and cool off with a swim in the pool.

Also hosted at Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club is Junior Sailing of Beaufort’s Learn to Sail Summer Camp. In many ways, the two camps are similar, with one major exception - sailing! The Learn to Sail program is the summer camp for kids who want to learn how to sail. Campers spend time swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, participating in general camp fun, and actively exploring the environment, but they also learn the ropes - literally. Many of the campers who participate discover their love of sailing and come back year after year, often to return as counselors when they are older.

The Learn to Sail program offers kids 8 and up the chance to become full-fledged sailors. The camp has an entire fleet of boats so kids can be in a boat sized to them and their sailing skills. With different levels of classes, the campers range from beginners who have never even been on a boat to highly competitive sailors who represent our area at regattas across the country.
