With the first day of school just around the corner, many Beaufort County families are getting ready for their back-to-school shopping. Thankfully, the South Carolina Tax Holiday will run from 12:01 AM on Friday, August 4th- Midnight on August 6th.

So what can you expect when you head out shopping this weekend? Well, in short: SALES, SALES, SALES! Now, before you get started, I would definitely recommend checking your schools' supply list, so you don't overspend on items you don't need. You can find the list for Beaufort County Schools here. If your kids attend private school, the best place to look is on your school website or Facebook page.

Once you have your list, you can start to plan where you would like to shop.

Finally, you will want to double check what items are included in the South Carolina Tax Free Holiday. The South Carolina Department of Revenue has put out 3 different Tax Free Weekend shopping lists. Below, I have listed the link to each of the three lists, and a few items from each list that stand out to me!

Clothing and Accessories:

1.Time. Out. BRIDAL GOWNS are exempt from tax this weekend. Do you know any brides-to-be? Pass that fun fact along!

2. Diapers are tax-free this weekend! Cloth or disposable.

3. School uniforms, obviously.

4. Bathing suits and wet suits. Pair tax-free with end of summer sales, and you'll likely get a great deal!

5. Sneakers. Get those new school shoes!

School Supplies and Technology:

1. Computers.

2. Printer ink cartridges.

3. Book bags.

4. Musical instruments.

5. Calculators- ATTENTION HIGH SCHOOL PARENTS!! :)

Dorm and Home: ** If you're looking for me this weekend, I'll be at HomeGoods...

1. Bed linens.

2. Throw pillows.

3. Towels of all types, including BEACH towels!
